Message from our President

I am both proud and honoured to be the president of

Dewsbury Collegians, a position I have held for the past

two years, having been a member for almostforty years.

During that time I have gained much pleasure and

satisfaction from my involvement with the Collegians,

both as a performer and a member of the Executive

Committee.

I met my husband at the Collegians and have made many

long-lasting friendships so I have much to be grateful for my association with the society. 

We are committed to providing top quality live entertainment in North Kirklees through pantomimes, musical shows and concerts.

We also endeavour to nurture young talent. So important, not only for the future of both professional and amateur stage, but also for the self-confidence, fulfilment and development it gives them.

Come and join us. You don't necessarily have to be able to sing, dance or act as we also need that band of unseen (and often unsung) helpers, without whom no show would be staged. Wardrobe, props, stage crew, set builders and painters, make-up, front of house, publicity and so on.....

Could you, perhaps, make a hot drink for the rehearsing cast even?
